  The cathedral is a beautiful Lake Superior sandstone church in downtown Marquette next to the old courthouse. We attended Mass and it was a very nice service in a welcoming community. The acoustics aren't the best and the organ was a bit loud, but the music overall was good. I'd recommend visiting to see an historic site (groundbreaking was in 1881) or attending Mass.
